    LONDON POSTAL HISTORY - OCTAGONAL "TO PAY/2D/ONLY" IN VERY RARE RED INK: 9th Aug. 1817 E from London to Inverness with fine "KENSINGTON/EV" cds on the flap and so liable to local London postage, with v.fine strike of this boxed charge-mark in red (Jay L806a; only recorded intermittently for 5 months in this colour).
