Cavendish in Scotland
Cavendish visited the 2019 Scottish Postal History Society AGM in Edinburgh last week. The meeting was well attended, as usual, with some wonderful displays by members. The quality of the displays is always of a very high standard, and we would recommend anyone with an interest in British postal history to join and attend these friendly meetings.
On Saturday the invited displays were given by James Grimwood-Taylor, who gave a very entertaining and informative talk on Scottish Postal History (Islands & Highlands) 1651-1939, and afterwards Pat Grimwood-Taylor showed South Australia Maritime Mail 1837-1891, equally entertaining and of great interest.
Pictured above are society President David Grahams presenting James with the Auckland Stables Memorial Display Trophy, and Pat after her well received display.
We are looking forward to meeting fellow collectors again at The Scottish Congress in Perth, next week.
